Dear Gracie: Do you know how much you were loved? Do you remember the day I found you in the woods and vowed you would never be hungry or cold again? Do you remember that I promised you a perfect forever home? I kept those promises to you. And I know you were happy in your home with your Mom and Dad, Noreen and Ken and your sister, Fancy. But I couldn't promise you forever health. And now you are gone and have taken a piece of my heart with you over the Rainbow Bridge. You will never be forgotten. You will always be loved. Until we meet again, Your foster mom. Gracie - January 3, 2007 - September 23, 2007 Jamie and Arlene: I just wanted you both to know that I had to say "goodbye" to Brandy on Thursday night (October 11, 2007). I still have trouble talking about it but in short, he was doing extremely well but apparently suffered a number of severe strokes - or that is what the Emergency vet and my personal vet believe happened. I had to make the difficult decision to let him go; he wasn't recovering from the episodes and he appeared to be in distress (to me). I miss him so much and I thank you both for letting him join my pack last August. I wish I'd had more time with the little guy - he was a special dog and he won't be forgotten. Sincerely, Suzanne Lady did not beat the odds even though her foster mom and friends did everything and more. Lady had an ultrasound and she had many tumors that no one could fix. She was loved till the very end. She was humanly put to sleep on 10-30-07 May she find peace and happiness over the rainbow bridge. May she never feel pain but all the love that was given to her up until her last breath. Thank you Lori and Janet for the over and beyond you gave to her. Lady is NOT ready for adoption just yet but needs help with her medical care. This poor cat was left on the streets scared, alone, hungry, and injured. She was rescued from the streets by a Rescue volunteer who saw the cat dragging her hind leg. By the time the volunteer pulled her car into a parking lot to help, the cat was lying down and unable to get up. Realizing how badly injured the cat was, the volunteer called another volunteer to help take Lady to the Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center for treatment. Examination revealed that Lady had been hit by a car and had a fractured pelvis along with other injuries. She was in critical condition for over 24 hours and is now recovering in foster care. Her vet bills are over $1,300.00 so far. Please help by sending a donation for her care. Born around April/May 2007 Scout was such a sweetheart. He was waiting in foster care until his forever family could find him. We're not sure what happened but Scout suddenly and without warning quietly passed away on a cold December night in his foster home. We've been told it was possibly a bad heart but that doesn't make the pain of the loss any easier. We are grateful that we had the opportunity to foster and love such a special kitty. Owen was a great kitten who could not over come his medical condition. Owen was loved by his foster moms and the NAR volunteers who knew him. On Christmas Eve 2007, Owen was humanely put to sleep. When his foster grandmom was told she said "Jesus got a great little kitten for Christmas this year." Owen is now in a better place over the Rainbow Bridge. He will forever be in the thoughts and hearts of his foster moms and NAR volunteers. Owen, we always love you. Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
