Our Mission
At Northeast Animal Rescue, we are dedicated to saving homeless, unwanted and abandoned cats. NAR focuses on having feral (wild) cats spayed or neutered to decrease overpopulation. In the process of helping feral cats, we come across many who are friendly. Our goal is to place these cats in stable, loving homes where they will be cared for and never be abandoned, abused or neglected. We at NAR want to be a stable and complete group. We have learned that we cannot save the world, but we try to save one animal at a time.
Calling all animal lovers in Philly!
This July, shopping at ACME on Red Lion Road (920 Red Lion Road) can make a big difference for homeless pets.
For each $3 GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS bag sold, $1 will be donated to Northeast Animal Rescue! That means by switching to reusable bags, you're helping care for furry friends in need.

2025 NAR calendar: Open for submissions
Is your pet a star? Is he or she calendar material? We want to put them in pictures!
NAR is seeking photos of your rescue pets, no matter where you rescued them from — if it has fins, fur, feathers or scales, we want to see them all!
How much? A $30 donation for a single photo, or a $35 donation for a collage of photos (can be one animal or multiple animals).
- Photos should be at least 200 dpi, high quality and landscape position.
- Please, no social media photos.
- Please include name(s) of animals, month/year adopted, and family's last name.
How do I make my donation? Donations for photos may be made by:
- Check or money order, made payable to Northeast Animal Rescue, and mailed to NAR, PO Box 52395, Philadelphia, PA 19115
