Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor.

Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.
His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together ...

Sometime in 2002 while shopping at PetValu, I met a kitten named Piper, she was shy but had the most adorable face ever. We instantly bonded and once I got her home, I called her Phoebbee, after the character Phoebe Buffett on Friends. It took Phoebbs about 7 years to come out of her shell, but once she did; she became the queen of the castle. She lived with her brothers Kozmo, Nick and Jack. They each had their own relationship with Phoebbs, but it was the relationship she had with me that was so amazing. Phoebbee took care of me, constantly there when I would come home, sleeping beside me and watching television with me. She became my very best furry friend, and I will for forever keep her in my heart. My life was forever changed the day I brought her home. Phoebbs BoonFeen Queen Tripp 2002-2017

Rosie aka: Sunkist
Another angel gone; taken too soon. No signs at all; what was I to do? You hid the pain from us; you didn’t want us to know. Just how bad it was for you and that you were ready to go. In life sometimes things happen with no warning to prepare. And then you are angry and broken because it just isn’t fair. But now I have to accept you are really not here anymore. All around the house it’s like a ghost tapping at my door. And I go to open it only to see. That you are not there and again you will never be. Goodbye sweet Rosie, such an angel of a girl. You lit up the room for anyone that entered your world. And although I want you back, I know there is no other way. But I also know now you’re free and will always be able to play. Up at that bridge, across that rainbow, please be there to greet me. And one sunny day, you and I, once again, together we will be. But from now until then I’ll hold your memory inside my heart. In a place I’ll never lose you where my love will never part. Rest In Peace my baby girl Rosie. 12.2.17 written on 12/4/17 Wendy B.

‎11/3/05-1/21/12 I want to tell your personally about Aquilla. She was put down today after an emergency trip to the ER last night. She was having trouble breathing which we thought heart. Then that was ruled out to think Asthma. They sedated her because they were concerned about a section in her throat. Today they were able to look under anesthesia and find a huge mass which was occluding her airway. Instead of waking her up she was humanly put to sleep. Not being able to say goodbye in person it broke my heart to give permission not to wake her up. She is now running pain free over the rainbow bridge and I will see her one day again. She has been in my care for over 2 years when we pulled her from Animal Control after her owner surrendered her. She was a difficult cat to place as she was blind and if someone did not alert her to your coming she would swipe out. She has had a wonderful 2 years with my cats and my family. Running up and down steps playing with her toys which once in her mouth she would chirp away. She would sleep backwards on the steps at the very top. I will so miss you ..

12/07 to 12/10: Dasher, you were a wonderful foster kitty and I will miss you deeply. I will miss you sleeping on my feet and your little meow when you wanted to be fed. The couch won't look the same without you. Love always, your foster mom

Peggy Sue
Peggy came to us to find her forever home. Unfortunately, we lost Peggy Sue last night to a nasty virus. This virus is preventable with annual vaccines but because she was still young and vaccinated, she was able to pick it up and not be able to fight it off. Being only 4 months old, her immune system was not strong enough. We will all miss you, Peggy Sue. RIP (NAR Fosters)
