Description:
Our website is updated daily

Jeweled Spritz, aka Jewel, arrived to us with her mom and siblings. Jewel is a little bit sweet and a little bit sassy according to her foster mom. She has traditional Golden hamster markings similar to her sisters Prin and Tassy but it was almost as if Momma GingerSnap was running out of ink as she's just a few shades lighter. Jewel wa on the timid side while living with her sisters but she's coming out of her shell now that she's living as a solo hamster.  Jewel enjoys pretending that people are jungle gyms and will actively explore anywhere she is allowed to go.

UPDATE: Jewel was overly adventrous a few weeks ago a got injured.  Seeing as she's on the dainty side recovery is taking a little longer than anticipated.  This could continue to be necessary for the rest of her life.  She's no longer allowed to have any types of levels, ledges, or bars that can be climbed or chewed to help prevent further or recurrent injury.

Jeweled Spritz is currently being fostered in Newtown, PA.

Hamsters are crepuscular creatures. Like many other mammals, hamsters are more likely to be awake and active at dawn or dusk. This isn’t to say that some hamsters don’t ever stay awake all night. Much like humans, individual hamsters have their own sleep patterns. They aren’t all awake and playful at exactly the same time. This does mean you may not get quality time with them since most won't wake up until evening/night time.
