Rugelach
arrived to us with her mom and siblings.
Rugelach is a sweet and gentle little guy who like to sleep late. Like his brothers, he has an extra fluffy coat which means soon enough his long hair genetics will kick in and provide him a long fluffy skirt. He will need daily brushing to keep his coat free from matting and tangling with the bedding. Rugelach is pretty laid back and he will snuggle in once he is scooped up; he will readily accept being pet, kissed, and snuggled. He is looking for a home with a fellow nightowl who won't be up into the wee hours to get in some quailty snuggle time.
Rugelach is being fostered in Edgewater Park, NJ along with several of his Holiday Cookie siblings.
Hamsters are crepuscular creatures. Like many other mammals, hamsters are more likely to be awake and active at dawn or dusk. This isn’t to say that some hamsters don’t ever stay awake all night. Much like humans, individual hamsters have their own sleep patterns. They aren’t all awake and playful at exactly the same time. This does mean you may not get quality time with them since most won't wake up until evening/night time.
