Bernard was recently rescued from a local big box store where he had aged out of their adoption floor at only two months old. He spent 6 months in a small enclosure with very little one on one human interaction, No slur to the the store, that is just business. He is loving his large bin enclosure, rearranging things to his liking and comes out to see you when he hears his name, or the lid comes off his bin. Bernard has not shown much interest in his wheel or saucer, but we think he is just overwhelmed with all the room he now has. He will take treats from your hand, though he can be a bit nippy in his bin, which is not uncommon. Bernard urinates in his sand bath which makes it sooo easy to keep his enclosure clean. Bernard is a very handsome white coated Campbell's dwarf hybrid, with a very faint tan panda pattern on his face looking for the right person to give him time and accept him for who he is. He is estimated to be born June 2022. He is a Campbell's dwarf hybrid. Adoption fee is 15.00. Located in Elkins Park PA.
Hamsters are crepuscular creatures. Like many other mammals, hamsters are more likely to be awake and active at dawn or dusk. This isn’t to say that some hamsters don’t ever stay awake all night. Much like humans, individual hamsters have their own sleep patterns. They aren’t all awake and playful at exactly the same time. This does mean you may not get quality time with them since most won't wake up until evening/nighttime.
