Meet the “Fraggle Rock” hamsters! They came to NAR after the family realized there were too many hammies to care for.

10 babies are in the family: 4 girls and 6 boys. They are being handled as much as we can and are currently in same sex habitats. They are fostered in northeast Philadelphia, PA. Two boys have been transfered to our wonderful friends at One Life at a time in Pottstown, PA.

Hamsters will only be adopted as singles and we’re looking for responsible homes that understand all the ups and downs including that all hamsters can bite; there is no guarantee that they won’t.

Applications are open for serious inquires only. You must email a photo(s) of you current habitat; applicants that don't will be denied. If you don’t have a habitat and would like help, we can assist you.

Hamsters are crepuscular creatures. Like many other mammals, hamsters are more likely to be awake and active at dawn or dusk. This isn’t to say that some hamsters don’t ever stay awake all night. Much like humans, individual hamsters have their own sleep patterns. They aren’t all awake and playful at exactly the same time. This does mean you may not get quality time with them since most won't wake up until evening/night time.
