Description:
Video of Matilda *Video*: Our website is updated daily So how is it possible to cram so much personality into such a small body? Believe it or not, this spunky girl had a bit of a rough start in life. Originally found as a stray, Matilda entered the city shelter with a bad cold, horrible ear infections, and a head tilt. A volunteer couldn’t resist her sweet face, and took her into foster care, not knowing quite what to expect. Her foster family was pleasantly surprised to discover an outgoing, affectionate girl who loves to cuddle and snuggle. Matilda’s cold cleared up, although her head tilt remains. It doesn’t have any effect on her at all, except to make her look extra cute! Matilda is a social girl who loves to be close to her foster family- quite literally. Although she can be described as a lap cat, Matilda isn’t always content with just a lap and loves to snuggle up on your chest, shoulder, and occasionally your head. At night she curls up in bed with her foster parents- usually under the covers! But this girl is no couch potato- she spends the rest of her time playing! Her favorites are wand toys and balls, and she’ll even play fetch! But Matilda isn’t all fun and no work- she makes sure to supervise all household chores and even tries to lend a paw to help. She is a smart girl who, with the aid of yummy treats, quickly learned that she’s not allowed to jump on the kitchen counters. Now, she just sits at your feet until she hears the word “treat”! Matilda also has the distinction of being the only cat her foster family has ever seen that’s not afraid of the vacuum cleaner! In fact, Matilda is quite the fearless girl-she’s not afraid of anything! Matilda currently lives with two adult cats, and gets along with both. Matilda briefly lived with dogs while her foster family was on vacation, and wasn’t phased one bit. In fact, she really seemed to like them and would love to have a doggy friend. She likely wouldn’t mind being an only cat as long as she can get lots of attention from her human family. Matilda is ready to find her forever family-are you ready for her? Matilda’s ideal home: Appreciates a cat who can seem more like a dog at time! Won’t mind her mildy stuffy nose and occasional watery eye! Matilda is spayed, UTD on vaccines and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Approx. DOB is October 2011. Please fill out an application at nar.rescuegroups.org
