Meet Matthew, although his friends call him Matty. We're not quite sure how he ended up in a feral cat colony, but he obviously had not been taken care of in a very long time. His beautiful coat was horribly matted! Matty went to the vet where they shaved 1 1/2 lbs. of filthy, matted fur off him! He got a complete check up which included fluids for his dehydration and then was off to foster care. Matty appears to have been craving human affection for quite a while and showed his appreciation by non-stop purring while taking a long, well deserved cat nap in his foster mom's lap. This little guy is affectionate, friendly and playful and will be absoulely gorgeous once his new coat grows in. Please note we would prefer his forever family to have previous experience with persian cats and an adult only household.

Matty is neutered, up to date on vaccines and has tested FIV/FeLV negative.  Matty was born around November 2009.
