Looking for a lap cat? Meet Eliza!

 Abandoned in the lobby of a shelter, Eliza came down with a bad cold and stopped eating. A volunteer saw how sad and depressed Eliza had become and took her home to foster care. A few days of TLC and Eliza was as good as new!

Eliza is a beautiful white-and-grey cat with a silky medium-haired coat. All the glamour of a long-hair, with the low maintenance of a short-hair!

This sweet girl is as affectionate as they come! Even though she is still a kitten, Eliza prefers snuggling to playing. She loves to be picked up and held, curl up on your lap, and sleep next to you in bed. Eliza is a purring-machine and also loves to knead. She is a vocal girl who will definitely let you know when she wants attention!

Eliza wasn’t quite sure how playing with toys worked when she first arrived, but has passed Playing 101 with flying colors. She now enjoys chasing after her mice toys, batting around balls, and playing with wand toys.

Eliza uses her litter box perfectly and has learned to use the scratching post and cardboard scratchers in her foster home. She doesn’t mind having her nails cut, although it is easier with two people as she squirms.

There are two resident cats in Eliza’s foster home that she is slowly being introduced too. Please check back for updates as the introductions progress! She shouldn’t go to a home with dogs as she hasn’t been exposed to them.

There are many cat lovers who appreciate the traditional mysterious, independent personality possessed by many cats. But for the rest of us, there are cats like Eliza!

Eliza is spayed, UTD on vaccines and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Approx. DOB is Dec. 12, 2010.
