Description:
4/11/08 update. Allie is ready for her new home. She loves to sleep in bed with you, loves other cats. She is already. Please fill our application out www.nar.rescuegroups.org

1-26-08 UPDATE Allie pulled her bandage off a week early. She is putting some weight on her leg when she walks but fly's around the house on 3 legs. She is so happy not to have that cast on anymore. She still has healing to do but is on the road. We at NAR can not thank you enough for all your support with Allie.
12-10-07 UPDATE:I can not say Thank you enough or give enough hugs and kisses for those who have come way beyond to help our kitties in need.

The latest update on Allie: She saw the Doctor this past Friday and past with flying colors. Since it took 2 weeks to get her seen, we have been doing Bandage changes everyday to minimize infection. The Vet's I work with are so amazed with her personality since she lays with minimal restraint and allows us to change and clean her leg.

The Vet on Friday(Ortho Dr) re x rayed her leg and the toes are healing and she was trying to walk. He said we should keep the leg and start changing the bandage every 5 days for know. She still has a long way to go and still needs to be fixed. (spayed)

This cat must know we are trying to help her and appreciates every act of love we have given her. No more street and no more looking for food and a warm bed with tons of TLC.

I was so worried in how her leg looked, that I was sure she would have it removed.so did everyone else that saw it. I did not want her to be sedated for the bandage changes as we all know how cats can get at the vet. I wanted the least painful method of recovery so she can find her forever home.

Without anyone's help to pay our bill's I don't know how I would handle any of these cats that needed our help. I am always a sucker for the helpless and injured cats that need us the most. There are so many helpless and homeless cats in this area that still need us. I will use this donation money wisely to care and place these cats. I just wanted to let all of you know I could not of done this without all of you by my side.

This rescue has survived for 4 years and want this rescue to keep going. This is also because we have the best volunteers and support from our adopters and friends.

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart and Allies too!

12-2-07 Update: Allie is getting her second chance by having her surgery this Friday. She is a trooper!!. Stay updated for details.
Allie was rescued from the streets of Philadelphia. She was found in the middle of the road after being hit by a car. The kind man stopped and pick her up to find her a place to go where they don't kill.
She was brought to us. Having a fever from pain and inflammation started her on the road to recovery. She was taken to our vet where they tested her for FELV/FIV and she is negative. They did x-rays of her leg and she has 4 broken toes, flat as a pancake and tibia bone also broken. She is scheduled for surgery to have the leg removed due to how badly it is broken.
Please help support us to fix her. Donations can be made to Northeast Animal Rescue PO BOX 52395 Philadelphia PA 19115. We will keep you posted when she recovers.
