Description:
Philadelphia Animal Control knew that Willie faced a grim future if he were left at their facility. They were not equipped to place a cat with special needs, so, through otherwise healthy, Willie would likely be euthanized. They knew, however, that NAR would search to find just the people, to give Willie the kind of life he deserved. NAR is searching for that home now. No one is sure if Willie was born with this condition or if he lost his eyes to a virus he may have suffered as a kitten. Whatever the cause, Willie has been sightless for sometime. He functions well in spite of his disability, although he needs encouragement and reassurance when introduced to a new environment. But Willie is strong and healthy and wants to be loved: with some gentle support, he'll soon be a comfortable, loving presence in his new home. Like anyone with a visual impairment, Willie is quite sensitive to sound and movement, and can be overwhelmed by too much noise or activity. For this reason, he would likely do best in a quiet household with no dogs or small children. Willie is accustomed to the presence of other cats, so should be just fine in a home with one or two--preferably calm, easygoing--cats. If you would like to open your heart and home to a very special kitty, Willie will fill them both with love. Please consider adopting this very special boy. Age: Approximately 3 years History: Neutered; fully vaccinated Status: Felv/Fiv negative Please fill an application out at www.nar.petfinder.com
