Description:
Schmutzie is a grey muted tabby approximately 1 year old. He has tested negative for Felv/FIV, has all of his shots and is neutered. His story: Schmutzie showed up on my doorstep during a January snowstorm and by using his overwhelming charm, he convinced me to let him come in and warm up. He was very healthy and was comfortable indoors so I assumed he was a stray who had lost his way in the snow. I posted signs in the neighborhood and on the web to find his owners but when I got no response; I took him to the SPCA and put him up for adoption. After a few days, I got a call telling me he was not doing well in the cage and was a harm to himself and that they could not keep him. I picked him back up and took him home again. When the weather began to clear in March I let him back out in hopes he would find his way home. He was gone for less than a week when he showed up again thinner and with a puncture wound to his foot. Since then he has convalesced in my guest room and has been neutered, tested, vaccinated and has recovered from his foot injury completely. I have a full record of his vet visits and vaccine certificates. He is currently working on his socialization skills with my brood of cats and is doing well. I need to find him a home as I have too many cats to keep him and I think he needs someplace special where he can be the center of attention. Schumtzie is very friendly and talkative and a bit of a prankster. He has no fear of strangers and often shows off his prancing and mousey capture skills to people. He is very energetic and loves participating in interactive play with people and other cats. He would be best in a home without small children, as he can sometimes playa little rough. He is still being socialized but I think he will do well with other cats. He has never scratched any of my furniture but he does have a box he enjoys shredding and has yet shown interest in the scratching post. Since being neutered, he has not sprayed, even after being around unknown males. His other hobbies include bird watching and eating fresh nip. Schmutzie is a special guy who's flamboyant personality could really bring joy to the right forever home. |
