Kirby is a small and sweet black American dwarf mix with a heart as big as his ears! Despite his tiny size, he’s full of personality and charm. Kirby is learning his litter box habits and making steady progress — especially when greens are involved, which he absolutely adores! His story is a special one: he was found outside in rough shape, being cared for by a kind-hearted Good Samaritan. By a stroke of luck, that same person walked into Petco during one of our bunny speed dates — and Northeast Animal Rescue took Kirby in on the spot. Since then, he’s been thriving with gentle care and lots of love. This little survivor is now ready to find his forever home, where he can continue blossoming and bring joy to his lucky family. Rabbits are prey animals and it's natural for them to hide. They need an extra-large habitat for room to run around and play. Potential adopters will be asked to provide proof of habitat and other provisions (see below). We ask that you research owning Rabbits and be fully aware of what is involved. They require lots of time and space. Make sure you have no allergies to them or hay that is fed. Rabbits can be extremely social animals, and require alot if attention. Rabbits live an average of 8 to 12 years, sometimes longer. Please take this time commitment into consideration when looking to adopt a Rabbit.
