Other Pictures of Rocky (click to see larger version):Our website is updated daily My name is Rocky. I am a real sweet, fluffy, little guy looking for someone who can spend time with me to snuggle and play. I enjoy running on my wheel and digging throught my bedding. I really like sunflower seeds and will take them when offered. When I am held I am a corageous explorer and like to climb for extra snuggles. I would do well with someone who isn't afraid to scoop me away from the trouble I seek. My fur is real fluffy right now, but in a few weeks it will be long. Since it will get long brushing will help avoid it matting. Matted fur can make it hard for me to burrow or get caugh on my wheel and other toys. My foster mom uses a soft bristled toothbrush to keep me tangle free. She says brushing my fur is really important for my health, but I think it's just an excuse for her to give me extra kisses. Rocky is being fostered in Edgewater Park, NJ. Hamsters are crepuscular creatures. Like many other mammals, hamsters are more likely to be awake and active at dawn or dusk. This isn’t to say that some hamsters don’t ever stay awake all night. Much like humans, individual hamsters have their own sleep patterns. They aren’t all awake and playful at exactly the same time. This does mean you may not get quality time with them since most won't wake up until evening/night time.
