Patrick came to NAR as an owner surrender. He lived with his previous owners for about a month. He was also previously rehomed. He is an active, sweet boy looking for his forever home. Lets make his next home permanent. People unfortunately do not understand hamsters and that they are active later in the night, which often results in their rehoming.
Hamsters are crepuscular creatures. Like many other mammals, hamsters are more likely to be awake and active at dawn or dusk. This isn’t to say that some hamsters don’t ever stay awake all night. Much like humans, individual hamsters have their own sleep patterns. They aren’t all awake and playful at exactly the same time. This does mean you may not get quality time with them since most won't wake up until evening/night time.
Some of our hamsters come with their own appropriate cage. We offer bin cages and additional supplies for an additional fee.
