Lefty and his brother Righty were part of an oops litter that came into our rescue at one day of age. The boys are very sweet but can be a bit shy. He is not hand tame. 

Hamsters are crepuscular/nocturnal creatures in nature.  Which means while your child is sleeping they are awake.  Which means you won't have any quality time with them.  Most don't wake till late at night.
