Description:
Our website is updated daily Royal is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. Approx. DOB 5/6/2010 >>Experienced dog owners with vet reference need only apply<< Local adopters (Philadelphia/NJ region) only please >> Please note that only applicants meeting these conditions will be contacted. Royal was found wandering the streets of North Philly when a good samaritan scooped her up and contacted an NAR volunteer. Found with a mass on her hind-end, NAR knew they couldn't turn her away. She was placed in foster care and taken to the vet. The mass, which eventually went away, is believed to be hormonal -- Royal came to NAR unspayed. After an intial checkup, Royal was spayed, given a dental cleaning and an a good bath. During her spay, the vet found a lump on one of her nipples. It was sent out and came back benign. She will need monthly home exams (much like a human would do) to make sure there are no more lumps. After another two weeks in foster and on allergy medication, Royal was given the all clear to be put up for adoption! Her allergies are unknown at this moment and she came to NAR with them -- on her hind-end, feet and face. She is on limited ingredient food and meds, and is doing great. Royal is a sweet and active girl. She loves to lounge with her foster mom on the couch or in bed at night. She also likes to play. Royal is good with adult cats, but should not be in a home with kittens. She is also fostered with a 20 LB dog. Royal is crate-trained and housebroken. At this time, she has not met children in the presence of an NAR volunteer.
