Grapes

I just want to share my adoption story from Northeast Animal Rescue. I had to put my beloved cat Norton asleep several days earlier. I thought the best way to celebrate Norton's life was to give another cat a chance. I always saw the cats when I would shop at Petsmart. Having 3 cats and 2 dogs at the time, I knew I couldn't take another pet. A few days after Norton's death, I really felt the need to help an animal have a great life. I contacted Northeast Animal Rescue and found someone that really cared about who was going to get a pet and if they knew the responsibility that goes with it. I was very impressed on the knowledge and the caring that went into the adoption. I was very much in mourning but helping another animal made me celebrate Norton's life and make a positive out of a deep hurt. I could never replace Norton and I wasn't trying to do that. I am giving another animal a chance at a great life. I looked at "Grapes" now called Ryan Howard, and knew he was right for me. He is so happy now. He gets along great with my other 2 cats and loves both my dogs. Northeast Animal Rescue really cares and deserves special recognition. Here is a happy Ryan! Denise Szustowicz

Gus
Gus

3/21/08 Gus is doing great in his new home. He was shy at first but that did not last to long. He has an interesting and fun personality. He loves water and turn doorknobs. He sits on the edge of the tub while giving my son a bath and loves the bubbles. We all leave the bathroom soaked. Gus has attached himself to my 15 month old son. He sleeps, follows him and plays with him. Thank you again for giving us such a great cat with a wonderful disposition. I was worried at first but it was put to rest after a few hours of him being home. You matched us up perfectly. Gus is going to have a very long and happy life with our family. My female cat Max is probably the happiest. It took her a few weeks but now depends on him. Keep up the go work! I have told many people about your rescue and how well you match the cat to the owner. As I said before feel free to stop by and see Gus anytime. Thanks, Keri Brendlinger and Justin
