Update January 2015:
Well, well, well, what a difference time makes!  What difference, you ask?  At one time, my human caretakers thought I prefered to live by myself, as I wasn't fond of other cats or dogs.  It turns out that time healed that wound.  You see, when I was rescued from the shelter, I had a pretty rough time in a very short period, and I was a bit shell-shocked.  With love and patience from my humans, I learned to trust other cats (and shhh, don't tell them, but actually like them too).  I promise, if you are able to show me that same love and patience in your home, I can get along with you and your feline friends too.

May 2013:
Hello there- you’re here to see me, right? Great, you’re just in time for my next show. Around these parts, I’m known as the Amazing Miranda! I have some very cool tricks- watch as I turn a frown upside down within seconds; and hear what has to be the loudest purr in town! My only stipulation is that I need to be a solo act. As it turns out, I don’t care much for other cats or dogs. But people? Love, love, love them! So much so that I just can’t bear to share them with other animals!

So, I know what you’re thinking-most people like having multiple pets, what makes lil’ old me worthy of such accommodations? Well, I hate to toot my own horn, as I am a modest lady, but I happen to be pretty special. When it comes to humans, I want to be around them all the time. I love being petted and cuddled, and will follow you around like a puppy dog. I have recently discovered the joys of being a lap cat, and I plan to make that my full-time job as soon as possible. But if you happen to be busy, I’m happy just being in the same room as you. In fact, I start purring as soon as I see my foster family!  Have I mentioned I love people? Well, I sure wasn’t lying- in fact, the only lying I plan on doing is in bed, next to you!

With me, you’re not just getting a pet. You’re getting a best friend, a companion, a confidant, a partner in crime. And who needs television- give me a box or a laser pointer, and I’ll provide all the entertainment you need! In return, I just ask that you fill my weekly quota of head rubs and ear scratches.

I’m still just a young girl, at 1-2 years old, and I haven’t had the best start in life. I ended up a teenage mom, trying to raise my babies on the street, until we were brought to the shelter. Let me tell you, the streets are just not the place for a girl with my pristine, snow-white coat! I’m thrilled to have a foster home now, but of course there are other cats here, so we are all more than ready for me to find my forever home! So, if you think I might be the right one for you, I’d love to offer you a permanent, front-row seat to the Amazing Miranda!
